Plasmolifting in Cherkasy

The use of effective treatment methods in dermatology and trichology is an urgent issue. One of the new procedures for skin rejuvenation and restoration of damaged hair is PRP therapy or plasmolifting.

What is plasmotherapy?

The peculiarity of this method is that instead of the usual drugs the patient’s own blood components are used as the active substance. Our blood consists of plasma and formed elements – red blood cells, white blood cells and thrombocytes. Plasma is a liquid saturated with nutrients, vitamins and amino acids. Thrombocytes extracted from blood begin to secrete substances – growth factors that stimulate the multiplication of stem cells and renewal of all skin layers.

Besides, thrombocytes stimulate the activity of fibroblasts – connective tissue cells involved in the synthesis of collagen and elastin activating the skin regeneration and rejuvenation. Thus, plasmotherapy is a treatment method involving the restoration of damaged tissue by injection of concentrated blood plasma enriched in thrombocytes and nutrients.

How is PRP therapy carried out?

First of all, before the procedure, the dermatologist performs dermopurification, then anesthetizes the area for injection by applying a local anesthetic. While waiting for the onset of drug action, the doctor takes the patient's venous blood and places it in a centrifuge. The device separates the thrombocyte component from other blood cells. The obtained thrombocyte-rich plasma concentrate is injected subcutaneously with a syringe into problem skin areas. After injection, the doctor applies cicatrizing soothing gel onto the treated skin.

Due to the use of the patient’s own blood, immune and allergic reactions do not develop with PRP therapy, and the possibility of infection by infections is reduced to zero. The procedure is painless and quick. Side effects during PRP therapy and the rehabilitation period after the procedure are completely absent.
