Cervical cancer prevention in Kharkov

About 6 Ukrainian women die from cervical cancer daily. Such sad statistics results from the dislike of our women for routine gynecological examinations and a careless attitude toward their health.

Cervical cancer is a malignant epithelial tumor. At first, it only damages the cervix, then gradually begins to grow into the surrounding organs and tissues. During the course of the disease, tumor cells can travel with a current of lymph to nearby lymph nodes and form metastases there.

The most common cause of malignancy is type 16 and 18 human papillomaviruses. Moreover, the risk of human papillomavirus infection appears with the onset of sexual activity, that is, at the age of 13-15 years. It is important to remember that today the human papillomavirus is resistant to any available medications. The only way to avoid the development of the disease is early vaccination.
