My child is 6 years old and he has flat-foot, we noticed it about 2 years ago. Can flat-foot be cured? And how will flat-foot affect the quality of life of our child?
Answer: 16.11.2020

It can be treated well up to 6 years. It can be corrected up to 10 years. Flat-foot interferes with normal movement, it forms incorrect posture over time, deforms the bones of the foot, lower extremities. It is the cause of severe spine diseases (arthritis, arthrosis, scoliosis, osteoporosis, varicose veins, chronic headache). Flat-foot also cause pain when walking and during physical exercises, which affects overall health.

Is it better for a small child to walk at home in shoes or barefoot? Because I read a lot of different literature and it gives different information everywhere. Our son walks both in shoes and barefoot. Maybe we need to buy some kind of a mat for the child to walk on?
Answer: 16.11.2020

The child should wear preventive shoes (hard back, instep support). Mat - after examination of the child by a doctor.

Our child has clubfoot in any shoe, the right leg is more or less ok, and the left one is very tightly crooked. So the question is whether the child needs corrective insoles? And how to choose them?
Answer: 16.11.2020

Yes, he does. The insoles need to be chosen by a doctor, since there are 10 varieties of them.

I began to notice that the child often tilts his head to the left when sitting or lying on his back. Tell me, should we raise alarm? Is this perhaps some kind of disease?
Answer: 16.11.2020

If these signs are detected, you should see a doctor as soon as possible. If measures are not taken in time, then the child may experience such consequences as disproportionate development of the skull, asymmetric position of the eyes, mouth and other parts of the face. Scoliosis develops over time.
